Commencement Spotlight: Jonnae Joseph

IRVINE, Calif. -- With UC Irvine completing its commencement ceremonies today, ucirvinesports.com spoke to women's soccer player Jonnae Joseph who graduated on Friday with a bachelor's degree in psychology and social behavior with a minor in education.

Moments after her graduation ceremony, she received an email saying she had been accepted into the advanced studies speech-language pathology post bachelor program at CSUN. The first generation college student was a 2018 All Big West Honorable Mention selection on the pitch as well as an All-Academic choice in the classroom during her career. She played in 65 career matches as an Anteater including 44 starts.

UCI strives to promote its strong presence of first generation students, who represent approximately 60 percent of undergraduate students at the University of California Irvine.
